Immigrants and Workers’ Rights

For workers, immigrants, and survivors, legal protections and access to justice are central to ensuring that they and their families can build stable lives. Legal Action works to protect vital rights affecting these individuals and their families and advance public policies that ensure they can thrive.

Our Values:

  • All workers should be able to earn a living wage in a safe and healthy environment and free from unlawful discrimination. They should also receive accommodations that allow them to care for their family members.

  • Support through the Unemployment Insurance system should be adequate, fair, and accessible.

  • Survivors of human trafficking and violence are entitled to self-determination as they navigate the legal system and their own recovery.

  • Everyone affected by the United States immigration system should be treated fairly and with dignity, have access to effective legal representation, and be afforded due process.
